Petition of the elders to Nuzhat al-Dawlah
The elders of the village of Turkman write to Nuzhat al-Dawlah to complain about Mulla Haydar, who interferes in everything and is not only the mulla, but also plays the roles of the village chief and steward. They report that Mulla Haydar has married off a woman, who is the wife of one of the peasants and had left for Khurasan five or six years ago, to his own nephew. They plead for Nuzhat al-Dawlah to relieve them from Mulla Haydar's ill-treatment, swearing on Sa‘id al-Mulk's soul.

Letter sealed on verso by Mahdi Muntasir Lashkar; he warns that helping to move ‘Amid Lashkar's peasant, Iskandar, from Zaviyah village would lead to resentment between the writer, the addressee, and ‘Amid Lashkar; if Iskandar wants to relocate, the addressee should not be the cause of it. Note on verso, in different handwriting, denies taking Iskandar and advises the addressee to investigate the issue by questioning Karbalayi Muhammad ‘Ali.

Envelope addressed to ‘Amid Lashkar; Habib Allah's seal is on the letter and the envelope (the seal is dated 1328 AH). It is about problems with promissory notes, sending greeting to ‘Illiyah ‘Aliyah Mashhadi Khanum, and complaining about how ‘Amid Lashkar has treated Zaviyah's peasants.
